Dr. Jenna Wishnew, MD, FACS, is a compassionate and board-certified general surgeon with over a decade of experience serving the North Dallas community. She has dedicated her career to helping patients achieve their best health, offering personalized care at her Richardson, Texas office. Dr. Wishnew sees each patient as a partner in their healthcare journey, ensuring they have the information and support they need to make informed treatment decisions. For her, it is an honor to be part of her patients' lives, helping to ease their pain and restore their well-being so they can get back to doing what they love.
Dr. Wishnew has a specialized focus in wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), where she serves as the medical director of the Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center at Methodist Richardson Medical Center. She has been recognized for her expertise in the field, earning two international awards for her exceptional contributions to wound care. Dr. Wishnew has also been a pioneer in the management of gastroparesis and the use of Enterra Gastric Stimulators. While she no longer implants these devices, she continues to provide expert care for those with existing stimulators.
She is an active member of several prestigious professional organizations, including the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, the American College of Surgeons, and the Dallas County Medical Society. She also plays a vital role in the American Medical Women’s Association and has contributed to the American College of Surgeons North Texas Chapter, where she recently completed her term as the new membership chair.
